The best part about this isn't getting an update - November 14th, 2011

It's that I can play Skyrim without feeling bad for another few days!

I stated beforehand that November was going to be a slow month because all these games are coming out at the same time, and this is the results. I'm still working, just slowly. I shall see you next update, toodles!

Hi, my name is Tim - November 2nd, 2011

And I am obsessed with Sonic

If you dislike Sonic and/or long paragraphs, just enjoy the update above, the below is just me fangirling over Sonic Generations

Like, omigosh. SONIC GENERATIONS IS INCREDIBLE!!! When I first saw the trailer for it on Facebook and shat bricks when I saw Classic Sonic, I thought for sure I'd just enjoy his gameplay and Modern Sonic would just be more of the same from Sonic Unleashed (and to a less negative note, Sonic Colors). Boy oh boy was I wrong

I have to admit, I am enjoying Modern Sonic more than Classic Sonic. Mostly because to speedrun as Classic, you just need to spindash every 5 seconds and know each visual queue for jumping. Modern takes what made Sonic Colors good and improves it all to make a game that I'd call great if I felt like underselling it. Each stage has multiple routes, and like the Sonic games of yore, the highest route is both the trickiest and the fastest. Each stage has lots of platforming with carefully timed jumps that look absolutely beautiful if you can keep your momentum through them all. The game runs as smooth as a baby's butt even when you're going at mach speed through the streets of City Escape or dive bombing the massive landscape of Rooftop Run. And all these points apply to both Classic and Modern Sonic. The story, while initially, it seemed like another case of trying too hard, it is just like Sonic Colors. It's nothing special, nothing convoluted, in the end, it's just good ol' Sonic and Sonic vs Eggman and Robotnik. And I wouldn't have it any other way. (Would you want Mario to go the Sonic Adventure route in terms of story?)

Music of course is just one thing about Sonic that has remained fantastic since day 1, and Generations is obviously no exception. A few of my favourites are Crisis City (Modern), Seaside Hill (Modern), and Green Hill (Classic). Of course the entire soundtrack is good anyway :3c. All in all, if you're on the fence, worried about it being another 20 minutes of fun then a total steaming pile of turds like it's been since Sonic Heroes (not counting Sonic Colors), then this game will restore your faith in the blue dude and Sega's ability at making a fun Sonic game

I'll see what I can do about not playing this non-stop and actually working on the comic~

Of all the worst things that could happen... - October 23rd, 2011

THIS IS THE! WORST! POSSIBLE! THING!

Oh Rarity, everyone liked the line all 3 times but I felt it got stale. Maybe that's just me, who knows. Loved Pinkie in the latest episode though

BA-CAW!

Alas, this update marks one of the things I dislike about making a webcomic, that it takes a while to get to later parts of the story where it's all resolved. But not much I can do about it, so enjoy the update nonetheless! I shall see you all next time

P.S. Sonic Generations is amazing I can't put the demo down

We don't have enough room for a turbo boost Michael - October 20th, 2011

WE DO NOW BUDDY

I can't unsee Mr Feeny anytime I hear KITT's voice. And I constantly want to go "Hey, don't hassle the hoff"

Ah well, the more Knight Rider I end up watching, the more comics you all get to read, its a nice system. I also beat Dark Souls so I don't have to worry about feeling compelled to play that game anymore, just gotta deal with urges for Motorstorm, GT5, and Disgaea 4... And soon NFS The Run, Skyrim, and Sonic Generations

Oh god I'm going to get no work done in the 2nd half of November

Oh well, enjoy the nerdy jargon, I'll talk to y'all later

Interesting Fact: In Singapore, it is illegal to sell or own chewing gum

Ever felt a frozen tuna fish across the face? - October 12th, 2011

Great mystery of life right there

While my schedule does technically work, it's just thrown off by, ahem, unforseen events. Updates will be a little slower than I hoped until it's all sorted out, but should still be a fair bit faster than its been lately

Not like that'd pace be hard to do lol

In unrelated news, it would be swell if someone would buy me MotorStorm: Apocalypse. Just sayin.

I also feel that I should say that part of my schedule is to stream each Sunday, 8-11ish PM eastern. Did this last Sunday. So if anyone would like to drop in the coming Sunday, you're more than welcome. My livestream is over there on the side. Until next update though, toodles!

I could use some lip chap - October 6th, 2011

Peelin like a snake, you don't even know

So I've decided to let you all handle spreading the word of my comic while I decide to take a break from WoW and dedicate time that was previously alotted to it, to now work on my comic instead. Instead of raiding Firelands, now I'll be raiding imaginary panties

...That sounded funnier in my head, my apologies for the crappy joke

Anyway go spread the word, my nameless minions! Your supereme overlord DEMANDS IT! Hopefully my new updating system works, and if it does, I shall talk to you all again shortly with more comics! Toodles for now

P.S. Your supreme overlord has also resolved to start honouring comic related promises since both Disgaea 4 and a friend keeps whining that I don't keep them >.>

P.P.S Now you can keep track of how much procrastination I do!

Rammus for president

It's beyond me how someone can play Teemo in his easter bunny skin, yet be such a major douchebag

In other news I've been playing alot of Disgaea 4 recently, it is so fun. My Nekomata is so much stronger than Valvatorez it's almost disheartening. Almost. Then I win a map with one SD catgirl and smiles are had. I've been slacking on the comic alot lately as many of you have probably noticed, and it's mainly just because I barely hear from you guys anymore. Is anyone out there?

out there

out there

Whoa man that was weird. Anyway it'd be amazing for my spirit if you just take a few moments and drop lil ol me a message anywhere that suits your fancy. Email, FA, Twitter, Steam, whichever. Most of those are in the sidebar, My email is in the contact tab up there (I'd just type it out here but each time I've done that I get a burst of spam, so, yeah). I'm a nice guy, I won't bite~

Loosy Goosy - September 25th, 2011

Only took 16 days o3o

I wanted to hold off on these two pages until I did a couple more and got to a part of the plot that resolves things that eventually makes people hate me, but alas, enough of you complained about the no updates. All two of you. And I don't care what you all say I think Ami is the most adoreable character in the whole comic!

Also if any of y'all don't follow my FA, I did a couple cool pics during the update gap, One of Softie lookin pretty and the KK girls in bikinis. Corrupting Darkness's prologue is coming soon, keep your eyes peeled! Until then, toodles!

I'M BACK - September 9th, 2011

I just can't stay mad at my baby~

Either very early or very later tomorrow I'll also be starting the CD Prologue, which will follow the update schedule commonly known as "When I feel like it", while KK2 will follow NO SCHEDULE EITHER BECAUSE I HATE SCHEDULES I'M FASTER WITHOUT THEM

Of course you can just check each Sunday like usual and just read each week like that if you so desire

Now if you don't mind, I've got some Prinnies to save, dood!

I'm ALMOST back - September 8th, 2011

All righty, look to your right. No, not that far right. Yeah, right there with all my new SHINY BUTTONS!

Some peeps have asked for comments for each comic page, and while I do not have the php coding knowledge to do it their way, I'm doing it the next best way, and having a FurAffinity dedicated solely to my comic pages so you can know exactly when I put them up by simply clicking the +Watch button. Of course, this is a purely optional thing, this site here will still be the primary source of all things Kitty Komic and will always be updated first

I'm also beginning the transition from Kitty Komic to the more broad name "Melon Farm Comics", since I (like to) think I do more than just Kitty Komic nowadays. The new site design is in the works and will incorperate Flash into my site, so be sure to have your players fully updated when that rolls around. I know some of you have bad computers so I'll also be developing a "light" version of my site that doesn't use Flash, but that will be an after thought (The entire site won't be Flash, it's really just the header)

As you can see I'll also be opening up a shop soon, once the transition is nearly complete and I find a proper supplier. I already have the means to begin production on compilation booklets once I sort out a few font legality nonsense and will likely be the first things in the shop, followed by t-shirts. Not expecting much business but it's something I've always wanted to have~

But I'm sure many of you are wondering when I'll resume updates. I've been working on new pages for my wonderful return, updates should resume by Oct 1st at the latest. If you have an FA account be sure to watch my Melon Farm Comics and you can know instantly~. But yeah, not putting an exact date yet, most of you know I never stick to those anyway

I'll bring more news soonish, gotta go to work before I managed to complete the cute little shop drawing and the 8th button I totally forgot about, I'll probably just silently update those in. Until next time though, toodles!

Interesting Fact: The word Eskimo literally means raw meat eater

I'm back... Sort of - August 25th, 2011

Corrupting Darkness is coming, like it or not

Damage has been done and repaired, and got my art muse back faster than I expected to

...Except I have no desire to work on Kitty Komic, just Corrupting Darkness

For those of you that don't know, Corrupting Darkness is my 2nd comic that is meant to be Kitty Komic's successor. It is about a 19 year old assassin named Alishaa Ralsan, who lost an arm and an eye during an invasion on her hometown from which she was the sole survivor, rescued by an old man named "Richard", who, by her request, taught her the art of killing and dark magic to give her the power to kill the one responsible for the invasion. In a healing summoning gone wrong, Alishaa gained a demonic arm and eye of pure darkness, capable of numerous superhuman feats, at the price of her mind, body, and soul slowly becoming corrupted. Her adventure spans over the globe, with plenty of epic scale warfare, subtle espionage, and of course, bloodshed. You'll like it, trust me

Now go and check that new title page up above. Go ahead, I can wait. Yay you're back. As you may have noticed, I put a little "Melon Farm Comics" icon on there. Once this prologue is completed, my site will be getting its 6th facelift, becoming "Melon Farm Comics" rather than purely dedicated to Kitty Komic (Although it will have its own KK skin in its section). Gonna be exciting. When Corrupting Darkness starts for real (As in after the prologue), I'm going to be advertising around the net, but I tend to be nice to the little guys that got me up to a higher point in the webcomic world than I ever though I'd be (Even though I'm still not very high yet lol), and intend to hand out special exclusive content to peeps who confirm they will check out Corrupting Darkness's official launch before I start the advertising blitz. More info on that at a later date when it becomes halfway relevant My apologies if you're one of those few who greatly prefer Kitty Komic, but I'm the boss around these parts, and I'll allocate my resources as I see fit, and for now anyway, it's all towards Corrupting Darkness~. Kitty Komic will still get love, just, not for a while still. Just sit tight, until then, toodles all!

You know what my brain needs - August 8th, 2011

A knob to adjust my focus

I did that as a warm up because I had been staring at a blank piece of paper for 2 hours after waking up and scratching my ass for 15 minutes. Didn't help, but at least I did manage to make something I found rather entertaining (The guy with scruffy puffy hair is me, seen foaming at the mouth and eating a tablet pen). I have no more work days until THURSDAY :D, so once I manage to get my focus, I'm throwing my schedule to the wind and putting pages up here as I finish them over the next 72 hours. How long will that be?

It might be sooner if Shen wasn't such a dickhead with his bloody teleport and taunt interupting my death lotus and slowing me and catching up to me even if I shunpo to my minions to escape, or if my friend who's 9 levels above me would quit matchmaking me with guys way out of my league or think I can handle intermediate bots or teaching me terms before it becomes relevant (I sat there and read a massive list of LoL terms later, holy crap man there are so many)

I'll be back in the near future with real comic fun, rather than just a lulzy look at my past week

Netflix is awesome again. I've got a sketch I wanted to put up here but I'm too lazy to convert it right now so someone here remind me later today after I eat to convert it and put it up here along with a story-in-progress to go along with it. Until then though, toodles for now!

Here's one at least, I apologize for the delay. My dad and I got into a big fight and I sliced open my index finger, but I won't bore you or bum y'all out with the details. Enjoy the new page, I've got Netflix again to help me out with background entertainment due to the 3DS and Canada Netflix using up alot less bandwidth than last time I signed up (Chewed up half my internet usage from 3 movies and a couple TV episodes way back, but now I can watch 30ish hours and only download 9 GB)

Take care until Monday everyone!

Please don't leave me Sonic! I LOVE YOUUU

While I am having fun drawing these pages atm (Ami is so much fun), I have been playing way too much Mount and Blade: Warband. Lady Lightia of Kingdom of Nords not only assisted in the total destruction of Kingdom of Swadia, but with only her army, took a Swadian castle with a garrison of 203, with only a band of 63. I'm aiming for the achievements that 0% of Steam users have that all begin with "As a female character, _____". Gonna be fun!

I hope you enjoy the update today as much as I enjoyed drawing it! Toodles!

The last two pages of the update today I had a ton of fun drawing. It's nice to just disregard the rollercoaster of a story and just gave some smiles and giggles time to time

I bought Reboot seasons 3 and 4, which is totally cool. I'll watch them later on though, got stuff to do today. Either way, enjoy the update, see y'all next Monday

Sunday as my update day just isn't working anymore, so I am permanently moving it to Monday. To make up for the 8 day wait between updates this time around (the horrorrrrr), there will be another update Wednesday night

I totally promise it will actually happen this time around~

In other news I've been looking all over for a Red Bull Racing or Scuderia Ferrari shirt/jacket, but the only motorsports clothing I can find is stupid NASCAR stuff. If you know of any stores in southern Ontario that sells F1 merchandise, drop me an email (It's in the contact tab as usual up there). Hats are cool too

Anywho, thanks y'all for a chunk of your lovely time today, and enjoy the rest of your day!

But alas, I can't multitask so I should wrap this up before I get big on anything other than preproduction fun with CD

However, I think this video sums up my thoughts on how you guys will recieve Kitty Komic's successor. Until next update, toodles

After reading the new page, you may find yourself asking "who da fuck is dis dooshe". Since page 2 answers that and I don't know when I'll be able to finish it, I'll quickly get a few things out of the way

His name is Din, he's a bunny, and he's Nate's "best friend" (Yes, Nate has friends aside from Kei lol). And he shouldn't fade away into uselessness like other non-core characters lol

Filler Update - May 30th, 2011

Regular furry service resumes Wednesday

Just wanted to relax with a slow day after getting back from Anime North, it was crazy, fun, and hella busy. Zoidberg rocked that rave so hard. The Earth is just a dead thing I can claim - May 22nd, 2011

In the name of Mars

Also check out before I forget

So I decided that a full week between updates is just too long to wait for y'all, so starting tomorrow (Hopefully. lol) I'm going to be starting a "daily sketch" feature thingy. Site won't be fully edited to accomodate it until June to see if it actually sticks, plus after this long weekend I work constantly until I leave Friday for Anime North (If you live in the area, stop by! It's a great convention) and don't get back until late Sunday

In other news, yeah, short chapter. On the flipside chapter 8 is turning out to be longer than I intended lol. I also have a final chapter count. There are going to be 10 chapters, plus about a 20 page epilogue that might as well be chapter 11

THEN THAT'S IT, TIME TO DO NON-KITTY KOMIC COMICS

And by that I mean I don't draw anything KK related for a month then go crazy and just make a massive sketch collection of what all the characters do after the end of the series that remains the focal point of this site lol

After all, kittykomic.com not being about Kitty Komic would just be silly

I ain't doing Kitty Komic 3 though. No askin. Ain't happenin. Nope. Maybe. Perhaps a few years later. Dunno. QUIT ASKIN. If you are askin. I don't know. I'm a computer screen. I can't hear you. I smell burnt toast. WELL THAT CAN'T BE GOOD EH? I don't really smell burnt toast. I just thought that'd be funny. I smell bacon. Why do I smell bacon? Oh it's bacon chips. All right that's enough. Go go, on your bike.

Check your G-Diffuser systems! - May 3rd, 2011

Mine's workin fine but I'm still gonna crash and burn like that derp Falco

I've been massively busy lately, today is the 6th day in a row I've been working which is something I am not used to because I'm -supposed- to be part-time. Tomorrow and the day after I'll be off so I would work on comics then, if it wasn't for the fact that my friend wants to finish DKCR which is at least half a day right there, then the GM in my guild in WoW is studying for exams so it falls onto me to lead the raids since I'm one of the only officers, and the other one tends to fall asleep at the wheel lol, so I won't be able to draw through the night. THEN I still have a page and a half of a commission to finish. GRUMBLE GRUMBLE...

I think I'll abuse my power and force my iLevel 346 priest in rather than my iLevel 359 rogue main. Won't cut it for end boss kills, but should be good valor from farm bosses, plus I need more raid healing experience, been doing 5 man heroics too long. Make those stupid glyphs start paying off

I also watched the Chinese Grand Prix, and although I'm grumpy that Vettel lost 1st on lap 52/56 and finished 2nd, it was still incredible. Alguersuari's pit crew screwed up putting on the tires and his rear right tire literally flew off the car once he went around the first high speed turn. Button and Vettel went into the pits at the same time with Button just a little ahead, and he turns into the mechanics then I realize "HE JUST PULLED INTO THE RED BULL PIT". All the pit crew guys were freaking out trying to tell him he's in the wrong pit, as he clicks in right before Vettel rear ends him and goes into his pit. Vettel obviously passed him during the pit lane after that lol. Michael Schumacher had a very good race compared to usual, but the one who drove the best in my eyes would without a doubt be Mark Webber. He was 18th on the starting grid, and finished 3rd. That is incredible to gain that many positions. He was doing lap times around 1:38 and 1:37 where as Vettel and Hamilton (who won) were doing 1:40. He also had a really bad start to the race on hard tires, but using all those softs later in the race certainly seemed to have paid off. The chinese grand prix is a very high speed course with only 2 major hairpins so tire wear isn't as big of an issue, letting soft tires last alot longer than usual

But anyway, I think I should get to drawing now before I gotta leave for work. Until an actual update with comics, toodles!

I killed Mufasa - April 24th, 2011

Because I felt like running my country into the ground

The Lion King is playing in that Wales theatre in Toronto until June and I wanna see it so bad. Sure, when I was a kid I thought theatre was the gayest thing next to gardening, but now that I've wandered so much deeper into the art world I'm dying to see a good theatre performance, and what better way to get back into it than watching one of my favourite Disney movies in a different medium. But alas, that's for another day

Just throwin this out by the way, but feel free to follow me on Twitter and other various places on the net, I'm a nice guy to get to know~. After all, I guess I should also let you guys know about this brainstorm and get your input on it as well. Just click the contact section, send me an email with the subject relating to my comic/site in some way, and I'll be sure to get it. I've even been catching several landing in my spam folder for unknown reasons. But oh well, button up there, nice and easy, you guys know what's what

And if you can recall the woman in the 3rd page of today's update without having the check the archives or asking me, you get a free cookie

Speaking of cookies, I'm starved. I've only ate chocolate today lol. Stupid easter. Guess I'll run out and grab a burger before I enjoy a well deserved WoW gaming session for making my comic quota this week. Talk to y'all later

Nyannyannya-nya-nyanyanyan - April 18th, 2011

Kitty Komic 2: Now powered by PhysX

So I decided to formulate a new system of drawing since "Drawing when I feel like it" just ain't cuttin it anymore. At its core though it's just an easier version of my old system. Any day I have off work, just clear off my desk, throw down a piece of paper, put GT5 in B-spec on my PS3, Starsky and Hutch on my laptop, and draw 'til the cows come home

I'd do it with My Little Pony, but that show is so good it'd distract me, and I already know the outcome of all the F1 races I have, and they lose their excitement when you know the winner. Speaking of F1, Chinese Grand Prix was yesterday, go find a torrent and check out BBC's coverage of it. The UK knows good racing when they see it

My goal for drawing is to just keep up with that 0.45 pages per week, it seems easy enough to accomplish, but if I'm under I'm not going to delay an update. Mm yes, like this one. Until next time, y'all!

Oh right, check out this dude's FA page, he's cool because I took forever to finish my half of an art trade lol

I <3 Vettel! - April 12th, 2011

Did I say 5 PM EDT? I meant 2 days later :3c

Watched the Malaysian Grand Prix last night and this morning, 2nd race of the F1 2011 season. Much more exciting than Australia was imo. The DRS and KERS made alot of overtaking possible on that pit lane straight which kept the positions switching well, so that derp Massa couldn't slam the door shut on everyone again

Except Vettel, who once again led nearly the whole race WOOOOO!

Few of the cool moments of the race that I'm sure even you guys can enjoy are Petrov getting some air with 3 laps to go and Alonso losing half his front wing from putting too much pressure on Hamilton

^ Edit: Sorry, FIA took down those vids

The best part of the races this season so far is that Red Bull can't seem to get their KERS system working (It's basically a boost button), yet Vettel's dominated both races and Webber can keep up with the McLarens and Ferraris. Speaking of top teams, those Lotus-Renault cars are looking pretty damn good, they're in the running with Ferrari in the constructor's championship so far, and I'd think it'd be way cool to see them beat out a powerhouse like Ferrari. Speaking of the Italian Stallion, normally I just think that differences between Red Bull, Ferrari, and McLaren lap times are just driver skill, but Alonso has been looking like he's at the top of the game, but the Ferrari F1s just seem to be lacking a little something. Maybe aero problems since he's been understeering alot lately

The teams watch the TV broadcast of the race alongside their racing charts, and the show listens into team radios time to time, and on Vettel's once, the engineer went "Do not use KERS", and you could see Ferrari and McLaren scrambling around reaching for their mics to tell their drivers that Vettel doesn't have a boost and can be caught on the straightaways lol

But we all saw how that turned out... Or at least I did

Got alot of work and WoW obligations this week, but I'll see what I can do about more updates. Seems like if I ever promise something, it doesn't happen lol. So I'll just say the update will be up when it's up. If I've got you on any of my IMs, I'll be sure to let you know when that is

Happy 5th anniversary Kitty Komic! - April 10th, 2011

Here's a treat, the main course is coming after I go play tech support

Hard to believe I've been drawing this this for 5 years today now. As of today my current pages per day ratio is 0.46 which is honestly quite better than I was expecting lol. On the 4th (Or maybe 3rd?) I made a little timeline of pics of Kei from each chapter going down a line and it really shows how much my drawing style has changed/improved over time lol, but I don't think I released it outside my circle of friends so I expanded it to KK2 and here it is

It's an exciting day today indeed. Enjoy it, I'll be drawing new pages during the Malaysian Grand Prix today (Back to back wins, lets go Vettel!), so come back later (Say, 5PM EDT) and I'll have some more stuff for y'all. Until then, toodles!

Interesting Fact: An elephant's tooth can weigh as much as 12 pounds
